How does MedBill Advantage work?
A.
It’s simple. Once a month - or more frequently, if you wish
- put all your bills, insurance EOBs, and the payments that you
made in a large envelope, and just mail it to MedBill (pre-addressed
envelopes are provided by MedBill). You don't even have to open
them. MedBill takes all this information and creates a monthly statement
that organizes all this information in three ways: by family member,
at a summary level, and at a detail level.
Q. What kind of information does a
statement show?
A.
There are a series of checks the computer software completes and
reports on when it analyzes your bills. At the summary level it
lists the invoice amount, the insurance paid and not paid, the insurance
reduction, and the amount you have paid. More importantly, it includes
"Remarks" that might indicate an error in the billing
or insurance processing (typically these errors are not in your
favor). At the detail level, it lists each specific payment and
EOB, which is invaluable information when addressing issues with
medical billers or insurance providers.
Q. What kind of service to provide
to your customers?
A. We offer three
levels of service:
Bronze - you receive the monthly statement described
above.
Silver - in addition to the statement, MedBill
pays your bills for you, but only when the computer analysis determines
the bills are OK to pay.
Gold – All of the above, plus if there should
be a billing dispute, MedBill Advantage will follow-up to make sure
the medical biller or insurance provider correctly processes your
bills. This is limited to billing disputes, not insurance coverage
or legal issues.
Q. What if I need assistance with your
services?
A. At each service
level, MedBill Advantage has customer service representatives ready
to help you.
Q. What if I do need assistance with a coverage
dispute or a legal issue?
A. We also provide
that type of service. Please call for additional information.
Q. Are there any other advantages to
the MedBill service?
A. Yes. Most of our
clients find they significantly reduce the time they spend on their
medical bills - to between 5 and 10 minutes a month.
Q. What is the cost of MedBill Advantage?
A. We have designed
the program to be extremely affordable for families:
Bronze coverage is $16.50 a month when you pay for a year’s
coverage ($198.00). If you prefer to make payments, the service
is $19.50 a month.
Silver coverage, for the time being, is priced the same as Bronze.
Gold coverage is $19.50 a month.
Q. What if I don’t want to sign
up for an entire year yet?
A. Enrollment times
are for three months, however a 20% discount is available when signing
up for a year.
